Website design & development

A website worth sending people to.

Your website is where people decide whether to get in touch. I handle the structure, copy, design and development so the finished site explains your business clearly and makes the next step easy.

Plan and review the work directly with me.

The challenge.

Most business websites explain and then stop. The visitor reads, and nothing happens: no clear next step, no inquiry that lands anywhere useful, no connection to the tools the team already uses.

The approach.

Build the site around the job it has to do.

I start with the one thing a visitor should be able to do, then design the pages, the forms and the handoffs around it. The result explains what you do and moves the work forward without someone chasing it.

What goes into it

The work behind
the finished result.

01

Start with what people need to know.

What do you do? Why choose you? What happens next? I organize the pages around those questions, then write the copy and make the design support it.

Service pages, useful navigation, project examples and a clear inquiry path.

02

Give the details the same attention.

Mobile navigation, readable type, image sizes, keyboard access and form behavior are part of the build. So is making sure you can update the parts you actually need to edit.

WordPress or custom development, chosen around the site and the people maintaining it.

03

Launch with a plan.

A rebuild starts with an inventory of the existing pages. I map changed addresses, check metadata and forms, and review the site on phones. When hosting is included, I configure the DreamHost plan and handle the migration before the domain switches over.

Redirects, search checks, performance checks and a practical handover.

DreamHost

Professional hosting.
A foundation I know well.

Built by me.
Hosted on DreamHost.

A fast website takes great code and great hosting. I combine code, image and script optimization with professional hosting and servers from DreamHost, configured for your project. We measure the result, from server response to Core Web Vitals.

I’m proud to be CMO at DreamHost. For the projects on this site, you hire me independently; DreamHost provides the hosting.

Working together

A clear direction. Then a careful build.

01

Shape the site

Agree the pages, message, content and editor.

02

Design and build

Integrated AI helps me move from ideas to working pages faster. You review the direction; I review the code and test the build.

03

Check and launch

Test the important paths and hand over the site and accounts.

Scope & budget

Put a clear boundary
around the work.

Page count, content preparation, editing needs and migration complexity shape the quote. A store, customer portal or unusual integration is included when we specifically scope it.

The work, price and review points are agreed before the project starts.

Before we get started

A few useful answers.

Can you improve our existing website?

Yes. A redesign, a performance pass or a better set of service pages can be a project on its own. I look at what is worth keeping before recommending a rebuild.

Should we use WordPress or a custom website?

That depends on your editing needs, existing setup and the site's functions. WordPress can be a good fit for regular content updates. Custom development can make sense for unusual interfaces or applications. Both can be built carefully and optimized.

Do you write the copy?

I can handle the page structure and copy as part of the project. You supply the facts, examples and business context; we review the wording together before launch.

Will a rebuild affect search traffic?

It can. I record a baseline, map redirects, preserve useful content and check the launch. Rankings cannot be guaranteed, so the plan includes watching what changes.

Let’s make it happen

Talk about your website.

Tell me what you want to build or improve. A sentence or two is enough to start.
