A website that explains the work
Liberty Creek Forest Management needed a website that reflected the team's experience and made its services understandable to prospective customers. I designed and developed the site from scratch, with custom illustrations, service pages and a direct inquiry path.
The site covers the company, its people, its services and Firewise resources. Its contact form is handled by the application, with spam controls and email delivery. The visual design and page structure were part of the same build.
Make the existing design faster
A later performance pass focused on what the browser had to download and wait for. I moved fonts onto the site, replaced an icon font with a small SVG sprite, reduced unused CSS and converted images to appropriately sized WebP files. The main mobile image received a smaller version and an explicit loading priority.
These changes improved delivery of the existing site. The recorded mobile Lighthouse results went from 72–85 to 99–100 across all five pages. On the homepage, Largest Contentful Paint moved from 5.2 seconds to 2.2 seconds, and page weight from 683 KB to 276 KB.
Check the work at page level
The homepage was only one part of the comparison. About, Services, Firewise and Contact were also measured. Each page received its own image and loading review, with checks for asset references, layout and the contact path.
The interactive comparison above shows the recorded before-and-after values. First Contentful Paint describes when something first appears; it is different from the time at which the main content is visible.
Results and scope
These are mobile Lighthouse laboratory results recorded on September 3, 2026. Individual runs vary, and the data does not establish a real-user Core Web Vitals pass. Customer inquiries and revenue are not published here. The demonstrated result is the change in measured website performance alongside the custom design and build.
