I like understanding the business. Then building the thing.

I’m Ty Lampella, CMO at DreamHost. I also design and build websites, software and AI systems independently. I’ve been building websites since 2008.

I can help decide what the site or application needs to do, design the experience, and write the code behind it. That matters when the job crosses disciplines: a landing page needs tracking, a registration needs payment, or a new tool needs to fit the way a team works.

2008

Started building websites.

CareerLeak, an early job-review site, was the first. Building something people could use was the point.

2010–2018

Ran an agency.

Websites, search and advertising for local businesses. The work connected design decisions with the practical job of finding customers.

2018 onward

Joined DreamHost.

I joined as VP of Marketing and now serve as CMO, with hands-on work across measurement, websites and AI workflows.

Today

Still building.

I bring that experience to independent projects, with integrated AI across research, design, code and testing, and me directing and reviewing the work.

I’m the person you talk to, the person doing the work, and the person responsible for checking it. We agree the scope, review points and availability before starting.

In 2026, highly integrated AI systems are part of how I work across research, design, code and testing. They shorten repetitive production work and reduce overhead, so more of the budget goes into the work itself. I direct the work, review the code and test what is delivered.

Outside the work, I coach youth baseball. Some of the projects here are volunteer or family work; those relationships are identified in the case studies.

I’m proud of my work at DreamHost and the experience it brings to these projects. When a project needs hosting, DreamHost provides the professional hosting and servers; I handle the build, optimization and agreed care. You hire me independently for that work. Projects built in my DreamHost role are labeled as career work.
