CRMs & custom software

Build the tool your team is missing.

A customer portal, a registration system, a CRM or an internal application. I help define what it needs to do, then configure the right tools or build the software around the job.

Plan and review the work directly with me.

The challenge.

The work runs on spreadsheets, shared inboxes and a rented tool that almost fits. Every handoff depends on someone remembering.

The approach.

Build the tool around the process, not the other way round.

I start with the records, the roles and the one workflow that matters most, then configure existing software or build the application that fits. The first version is small enough to use in weeks and solid enough to grow.

Explore the work

Start with the work people do.

Move the sample customer request through this small board. The records are fictional; the point is a clear next action.

What goes into it

The work behind
the finished result.

01

Make the records useful.

We define what information belongs together, who needs to see it and how it changes over time. A useful customer record might include a request, a payment, a status and the next action.

Data structure, imports, search, status changes and reporting needs.

02

Build for the people using it.

An administrator, a customer and a team member may need different views and permissions. I design those paths explicitly, including the routine actions and the exceptions.

Roles, permissions, forms, dashboards and customer-facing screens.

03

Connect the application to its surroundings.

Payments, email and existing records are often part of the same project. We decide where each piece of information belongs and test the handoffs so the application is useful in daily work.

Integrations, validation, error handling and a practical handover.

Working together

Build the useful first version.

01

Define the first version

Map the users, records, actions and essential features.

02

Build usable increments

Review working screens with realistic sample data.

03

Put it into use

Check permissions, imports and key tasks before handover.

Scope & budget

Put a clear boundary
around the work.

User roles, data migration, external integrations and the number of workflows shape the quote. A larger application can be delivered in phases, starting with the part that makes it useful.

The work, price and review points are agreed before the project starts.

Before we get started

A few useful answers.

Will you use an existing CRM or build a custom one?

Either can be right. If an existing product fits, configuration and integration may be the best project. Custom development makes sense when a specific workflow or experience justifies it.

Can we bring our existing data?

Usually. I inspect the export format, clean-up needs and relationships between records before including a migration. Imports should be checked against representative samples.

Will we own the application?

The agreement identifies the custom work you own and the third-party tools it uses. Your business controls its service accounts and receives the source and handover information for the agreed work.

Can you build our entire idea for $20,000?

That depends on the idea. We define a useful first version and estimate its features. A larger roadmap needs separate phases rather than a promise to include everything.

Let’s make it happen
