Give a book launch a clear destination

Annie Lampella, my wife, needed a launch page for the Protein Packed cookbook. I built a page that presents the book, sample recipes and links to five retailers, with an email signup for a meal plan. This is family-business work.

The buying path leads to the retailers selling the book. It is a product-launch and purchase-routing project, rather than a claim that the page operates a full retail checkout.

Make the page understandable to readers and search engines

The launch page brings the cover, description and purchase choices together. Structured information identifies the book, its author and the relevant product information.

The implementation is intentionally straightforward: a page that can explain the product and help someone choose where to buy it, with a defined path for email signup.

Support the author’s recipe workflow

Alongside the launch page, I built a recipe site where the author supplies the food, photograph and recipe. AI prepares supporting draft copy from that information, and the author reviews it before publication.

The workflow keeps the source recipe and publishing decision with the author. The application helps prepare the accompanying material and organize the work without treating generated text as automatically ready to publish.

Results and scope

Book sales and website traffic are private. There was no previous version against which to measure an improvement. This case demonstrates a product-launch page, retailer routing and a reviewed publishing workflow, with the family relationship stated explicitly.
